What time do you want to wake up?
How does the Bedtime Calculator work?
Sleep cycles typically last around 90 minutes. When you time your sleep to wake up at the end of a cycle rather than in the middle, you’re more likely to feel refreshed. Our calculator works by taking your target wake time or bedtime, subtracting (or adding) a 15‑minute buffer for falling asleep, and calculating several options based on 4.5, 6, 7.5 and 9 hours of sleep.
For example, if you need to wake up at 7:00 AM, aiming to go to bed at 10:45 PM, 12:15 AM, 1:45 AM, or 3:15 AM will align your wake up with the end of a sleep cycle. Choose the option that fits your schedule best, and remember to factor in time to wind down and relax before you fall asleep.
